Coordinated Bead Sampler #3
Paper Beads! Brand new on CUP. This is a really fun craft and can be used for just about anything from jewelry making to greeting cards!
All you need is a little patience at first and a few supplies like scissors, paper glue and toothpicks and you're on your way! Once you've made a couple beads - you'll be amazed at how fast it goes and you'll be hooked!
This sheet is a coordinated color/pattern shape sampler, which lets you try all 7 paper bead shapes. Since the colors and pattern is similar, this sheet is perfect for jewelry making.
Complete instructions are provided as a CUP tutorial and these instructions apply regardless of the bead shape. For the tube beads, you can start rolling from either end, otherwise, you'll always start rolling from the wide end.
For the tower beads, start with the wide end and roll flush against the straight edge. The angled edge will then create the thinner part of the bead creating the tower look.
The end result is just lovely and you'll find dozens of uses for your pretty beads! Enjoy!
This coordinated sampler sheet makes 1 large tube bead, 1 medium tower bead, 1 large oval bead, 1 large double barrel bead, 1 small oval bead, 1 small tube bead and 1 large shaped oval bead.

Making these beads was so much fun. I contacted Beverly to let her know that because of arthritis rolling the beads was difficult and would she mind if I used the one set of earrings that I had time to make was okay.
She was lovely and said that was fine. So.....following the easy directions I made several different sets of beads for uploading purposes. I am REALLY looking forward to experimenting more with this fun 'new' craft.
