Pretty Roses - Completed by Giselle Topper
OccasionThis sheet has become one of my real favourites in recent weeks. It has given me a very versatile card - I have made it into a retirement card, by simply exporting it to an "Opener" program and editing it with the words "On Your Retirment" prior to printing it out - you can change the font and colour of the lettering and it is real easy (first time I tried it). In the photo's below, I used a gold "Happy Birthday" peel-off instead - but there are so many options. You could turn it into a "Congratulations" or "Get well" card by simply adding the words before printing.
So, while it looks fiddly - it is real simple to make. Simply print it out (after making any changes you wish, or keep it as is). Then cut out all your elements. Then I found it easier to trace around the outline of the card on a matching pink or apricot paper for the insert (this I trimmed back a little more to fit inside, but only a couple of millimetres). then I attached the insert with a couple of strips of real thin DST just to hold in place, after I folded the card base. I did this first because once you add the topper it becomes a little more difficult (but can still be done). Then mount all your decoupage with foam tape onto the largest piece and on the back of the largest piece, put DST to the point where it attaches to the front of the card, and adhere on. Wehla! it is finished and very elegant indeed.
