I first found a book that was the correct size and then marked I all the pages using a pencil and ruler following the pattern.

I found it easier to mark all the pages first and then went back and folded each page using a bone folder to make the folds sharp.

The finished effect is great and the instructions are so easy to follow. The picture does not do the finished book justice.
