Ornare patterns are used as a borders on a card or on parchment paper. Ornare/Paper Piercing can be done on the front or the back of the paper, depending on the look you would like to create.
From the front, it will be smooth, from the back, you will have stand-up dimension. You can also enhance the pattern by coloring it using chalks or colored pencils.

I printed out the design onto photocopy paper and pricked it out onto silver flecked card. I cut out a sleigh in red using a Marianne Design Creatables die and cut out the swirls in silver metallic film.
I matted this design onto a red linen embossed mirri card.
