Winter Walk Holly 5inch 3D Paper Weaving Sheet
This design is for my paper weaving techinque and it will give you a 5inch square 3D weaved image for you to use on your cards or projects as a topper or card front.
The full photo instructions are on the sheet and this gives you a step by step and it is really easy when you get going.
When you have got the hang of it, you will be able to use 3D foam to create a raised effect with your weave, to give the design a fuller 3D feel, enjoy and experiment.

This was a treat. I love working with paper and it was so easy, but I would do better next time.
The trick is not to make the base quite as large as the top. Otherwise when you fold the edges under it can be too bulky.
I made the pattern weave first.Then applied Mod Podge to give the effect of it being a painting. I used bronze pearl drops to high light the pearls and set aside to dry while I made the rest of the topper.
To some deep red patterned pearl paper13.5x13.5 cm I attached some lace, gathering as I went. It is a good idea if your lace is not already gathered, to measure the actual length required and add 1 Quarter. This will give a light gathering as shown. You can alsoo run a gathering stitch and pull the lace to fit. This was then attached to quite a firm Gold pearl card front 15x15 to allow the lace to just flow over the edge.I made 3 Hand made flowers trimmed with bronze pearl drops, tied som simple knots in bronze cord to finish off the winter effect.
i haven't yet used a sentiment as i like to keep a stock of universal cards.
This is easier than you think and a lovely result worth doing many more times
