Birds on Branch Parchment Pattern

Trace pattern onto your parchment, in this instance I used white pencil to allow it to be rubbed out later. You could use white or coloured inks.

The image was coloured on the front using Polychromos pencils (these allow you to blend the colour). You may also Dorso on the reverse to give a subtle colour from the front.

Complete all your perforating next whilst the parchment is flat (once embossed the parchment will move slightly and not be as flat).

I used a PCA Bold diamond grid and bold needle tool.

You can now emboss your parchment. I used a small embossing tool to go over the lines of the frame and a mega sun tool to emboss in each triangle. Use a medium embossing tool to emboss a circle inside the sun tool design.

A nice effect is to use a scribe tool and pick out some feather detail by doing some lines on the reverse.

Fold your parchment on the dashed line and you can now perforate the outer edge of your frame. Use a two split tool, this ensures your perforation is easy to tear away.

You can now mount your parchment onto card of your choice.

Dont worry if you havent got a grid to perforate. I have highlighted the perforation area so you can just perforate through your pattern.
