Parchment Pattern

In this example, I traced the frame and image with White pencil.

Mixing a blend of Greens and Browns on the reverse to Dorso, giving a subtle tone.

Using Sepia, Black and yellow Tinta Inks I coloured on the front.

From the reverse I then used a Scribe tool to outline the frame, scallop edges, the outer edge of the owl and using short strokes emphasised areas to look like feathers.

A flower pricking tool was used to add detail in the scalloped edge of the frame.

From front rub out any pencil lines that may be visible.

Perforate using a two split tool all around the edges (remembering to always prick into the last hole made).

Mount onto card of your choice. On this example I added some gold gross grain ribbon to finish off.
