Plane PyramidCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionI have used this very clever Plane pyramid by Liz Harrison to complete a birthday greeting card fro my elderly friend who is a dedicated plane watcher.
It was so easy to cut out all the elements one by one and begin building the pyramid.
I left the smallest piece until last. I began by using tiny 3mm x 3mm D.S. padded squares throughout and attaching the second smallest image to the next size.
This made the matching and alignment of the pyramid much easier.
I completed the pyramid one size at a time until I had used all the elements and then used thickened white glue to attach the smallest piece to the top.
I used a black backing sheet attached with D.S. tape to attach this to the pyramid and then to the 13 x10.5cm satin finished silver card front.
I left space at the bottom to attach the sentiment. I used decorative black peel off strips as embellishments, around the image.
I then used padded D.S. squares to attach the sentiment. To complete the insert I have used a design by Clare Walker, cup917834_79993, Vintage Aeroplane inserts with verse. Thank you to both designers, I have been able to make a serious card front with an amusing insert, both of which will give joy to my friend.
