Japanese Floral Notecards 15, Peony, A5 Pyramid Card
How lovely is this duo? Set atop a floral denim background, this card fits all occasions, formal or informal, male or female. Each layer has a faint outline of the succeeding layer to make placement easier.

I have chosen to use dark mauve embroidery floss to complete the stitching and used the same mauve thread to attach the 48 iridescent 5mm rice beads and the20 blue, with pink centres, glass seed beads.
I have used white card to complete the stitched and beaded part of the project and cup473988_126, Japanese Floral Note cards 15, a design by Jolis De Angelis, as the partner embellishment.
I have edged the white backing sheets with a mauve water colour pencil and mounted the main floral image onto a pink version of Christmas lace effect, cup814313_7993, as the backing sheet and then onto the 12.5 x 9.5 mauve edged white backing sheet.
The main card is white and measures 29.5 x 17cm and scored and folded before attaching the dark plum coloured textured backing sheet, to which I have attached a mauve ribbon and a glitter edged purple ribbon horizontally across, 4cm up from the lower edge, to the card front.
I have attached the 2 main elements using D.S. tape and completed the decoupage of the peony rose using padded D.S. tape, added a sentiment and a tiny bow.
To complete the insert, I have used the same pink lace effect backing sheet and added a verse from the free verse section and a peony image, leaving a section blank for my personal greeting.
The stitching design instructions and attached photograph of the finished work by Emy, image, make the pattern extremely easy to follow and ensure a perfect outcome.
I love this design and for see many reasons to use it many times. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
