I now know what Vicky meant, when she named this card design, faux pyramid woodland scene. When it is completed as a quick, easy and very clever topper, it draws the viewer up some steps into the woodland, as if the card is actually made as a pyramid. I printed the sheet onto 200gsm card and cut out all the elements, and made up both sets into greeting cards. For the larger image, I made 3 different coloured backing sheets, and the main card in white. The white card, I cut at 11 x 10cm. The plum coloured backing sheet, measures 10cm x 10cm. I coloured the edges of this, with a plum coloured permanent pen, and used peel off gold strips around the edge of the white card front. I attached these 2 together with D.S. padded tape. I made a 3 step concertina fold sentiment tag, in a matte gold textured card, which measures 4.5cm wide and 3cm high. I folded it into the concertina, and trimmed 0.5 cm off the back section. I then used D.S. tape to attach this 4.5cm wide, 0.5cm high back section to the middle, and at the top of the plum coloured card. The next backing sheet is made from the same matte gold card and measures, 9.5cm square. I attached this to the plum backing sheet with D.S. padded tape, and to the concertina sentiment tag, with regular D.S. tape. I attached the black sentiment to the front of the tag. I used tiny gold peel off letters to make the sentiment. I used padded tape to attach the larger image to a black backing sheet, which measures 9cm square, and then onto the card front. I added the flower pots using tiny D.S. padded spots. I added some plum coloured flower shapes to each corner. The insert is an animal print in the same coloured tones as the main image. I am intending to write a letter to insert in this card. For the smaller image, I made a plum coloured card which measures, 12.25 x 6cm, and coloured the edges to match. I used padded D.S. tape to attach a matte gold backing sheet, then a black backing sheet, then the smaller image on top of this. I used the smaller version of the flower pots to attach with tiny padded D.S. spots. This has made 2 very lovely, quick, easy greeting cards. I am delighted with the results.
