2 Back to Nature Dangler Card FrontsCompleted by Donna Ritchie
OccasionIt may look as though you get 2 cards but that is because you have the front and the back of your dangle. One of the frames is slightly bigger than the other and I used that one on the front of my card, the smaller frame has a larger hole so that it does not show when you stick it inside.
Through trial and error I found that the easiest way to get a neat finish on my card was to cut the inner bear out of both frames. I would then flat stick my front frame (with the 'Cut out' section still intact) where I wanted it on my base card. This let me cut the actual hole in the card through the front design, and the card, at the same time. I then ran a black marker round the inside of the hole to neaten the finish. Next - cut the hole out of the inside frame and run a black marker around the inside of this. Place a toning piece of sewing cotton or 1 strand of embroidery thread down the centre of one of the bear pieces - I used a small piece of dst at the top and bottom to hold the thread in place while I flat stuck the 2 pieces together. Neaten the edges and run the black marker around them.
On the inside of the card place another little piece of dst at the top and bottom of the hole. Position your bear slightly closer to the top of the hole and flat stick the inside frame over the thread to hold it in place. Cut off the excess thread and you have a wonderful card which takes longer to write about than to make. Perfect for the friend who appreciates something different!
