Mystical Lady A5 Quick Card with Background and Decoupage
She dances with the wind in her hair,
Twisting the magic with her fingers,
Her love of life is yours to share,
For as long as you choose to linger.
This A5 Quick Card features a beautiful, mystic dancer, decoupaged in three stages. The bottom layer includes a circular border and background, the two top layers feature the full dancer and the top half of the dancer (no mystical dancers were harmed during the making of this card).
The background is an abstract piece of my own creation, made with mysticism in mind. A peaceful composition originally intended to represent the soul in all its colourful glory.
Four sentiments are included, one of which is blank for you to add your own appropriate phrase. The other three contain the following:
* Happy Birthday
* Have A Magical Day
* Just Because You're A Magical Friend

It gives me great pleasure to show you the first card I've made using the Mysical Lady quick card.
The method was fairly simple for this one.
First I printed the design onto matte photo paper, fairly thick at 180gsm because I like my decoupaged items to stay crisp, thinner card goes very bendy quickly. I used the "Normal" quality setting on my printer because to be honest the "Best" setting really soaks the paper in ink and at least on my printer the quality isn't all that much better, so I like to save my inks!
I cut the background using a guillotine, and cut out the decoupaged items carefully. Obviously this is the fiddly bit of the card, but the results are worth it.
I mounted the backround onto an A5 sheet of gold Mirri card because I love the golden backgrounds on cards, they really make the design stand out. Then I mounted that onto the actual blank A5 greeting card.
The decoupaged items were actually very easy to get in place, I used small sticky pads to make them stand out. I did the same with the sentiment.
Making the bows was fun. I can't describe the method properly without waving my hands around like a loony so I will simply say go to YouTube and search for "Making a bow with a fork" and that will show you how it was done! Easy peasy, really.
Then just for a bit of extra shiny, I added tiny 3D pearls on the edges of the sentiment, and even smaller 3D jewel beads onto the hands of the dancer.
I am very proud of this kit, it represents peace and energy, at least in my mind. Thank you so much for looking, I hope you like the card.
