4, Square , Live, Love ,Laugh, and be Happy Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

Ceredwyn McCrae’s design Live ,Love, laugh and be Happy is often a message I would like to use to help friends and families cope with life’s every day trifles that often soon pass, so this card will be often remade and popped in the post for just those occasions.

It also has the wonderful advantage of being bright, cheerful as well as having universal appeal and very easy to make.

I printed the sheet supplied onto CB matte white card and cut out the main image and used a black backing sheet cut at 13.25 cm square to attach to the back using D.S. tape.

I then used a 9cm doily to cut in half and attach one half to the back on the upper left hand side and the other half to the lower right hand side.

I used some bright red glitter paper to cut out a backing sheet 14cm square. I used padded D.S. tape to attach this to the back of the black backing sheet.

I made the main black card from a linen finished card which I cut at 29 x 15cm, and scored and folded it before attaching the topper to the folded card front.

I attached the embellishments of silver peel off strips around the edges of the black main card including the peel off corners and the silver and black peel off strips around the inside frame of the main image and added the 2 red coloured corners before completing the decoupage.

I used a very fine black permanent pen to draw over the butterfly feelers and long tips at the end of their wings.

I added the simple tied red bow to complete the card front.

To complete the insert I used a very pale grey backing sheet and attached a photographic image of the completed card to the top open section and added the verse by Janyce Cotterill, Nature’s Special Gift to the lower section.

I have an immediate forever home for this card, so I will be making this card again very soon. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
