This is a beautiful and useful card to suit so many female celebrations and occasions, including Birthday and Mothers’ Day.
I made 2 copies onto the one A4 gloss 200gsm Crafty Bob white photo copy paper and used one copy as the main backing sheet to mount onto a 14cm square gold foil card and then onto a very pale fawn to match the outer frame shade of the image, using D.S. tape.
I used an apricot shade textured card cut at 29cm x 15cm as the main card and scored and folded it and set it aside while I prepared the topper.
I attached 2 lengths of 1cm wide apricot ribbon to 2 lengths of lemon trimmed lace in alternate layers, and used this to wrap across and around the topper front, 8.5cm down from the top edge, and secured the tails at the back before attaching this to the prepared card front.
I used the second copy of the main image to remove most of the frame and kept the smaller part of the image showing the flowers, shoes and bow and the far left hand corner of the frame where the shoes overhang.
I then cut out the words beginning with the word, just. I attached the word group using a roller mini dot glue pen, and the larger image using padded D.S. squares.
I made a small apricot ribbon bow and 2 paper flower sprays with tiny stitched on pearl centres and one of the supplied sentiments as extra embellishments.
I used the 2 smaller images to make 2 gift cards for later use. I have made a background backing sheet which I have used for the insert. I am still to choose a suitable verse. I am sending you a hug Ceredwyn, your designs always inspire me. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
