These beautiful cream roses have a delightful blush of darker cream in the very centred and I have attempted to high light the darker cream by using an apricot linen finished background.
The main white card is cut at 29.5cm x 15.5cm, then scored and folded in half.
Using D.S. tape, I attached 2 backing sheets together. The apricot backing sheet is cut at 14 x 13.5cm, the outside edges of which I have defined with a gold metallic pen.
The light tan coloured backing sheet is cut at 15 x 14cm and I have defined the outside edges with the same gold pen.
I used the sheet provided to make a copy onto 80gsm copy paper and one onto 120gsm white photo copy paper.
I cut out the main image from the 80gsm copy leaving the shadow image intact. I used 1 coffee coloured paper doily to cut in half and used small dots of white glue to attach it to the back of this 80gsm main image.
I used D.S. tape across the front image to attach the cream satin ribbon. I attached this to the front of the apricot backing sheet and wrapped the ribbon around to the back securing it with D.S. tape and then attached this part of the work onto the card front.
I cut out the main image from the 120gsm copy omitting the shadow area, and matching it exactly to the card front scallops.
I cut out the rest of the smaller element and used padded D.S. tiny squares to attach these to the card front.
I added the sentiment before using gold glitter glue to embellish the card, and tied the bow attaching it with red power tape.
Using the smaller elements from the 80gsm copy I attached these to the white insert and used a previous purchase cup838329_1398 as the greeting for the right hand side of the insert.
Roses are such a universally accepted vision on greeting cards as they suit almost every occasion. I will be able to use this design many times. Thank you Ceredwyn, for another of your wonderful flower designs. Pamela Horton. The whispering Platypus.
