These full blown lilac roses look almost like floribunda roses, and the vision of them in enhanced with the lace and lilac scallop background.
I printed the sheet provided twice.
One copy I used as the main backing sheet, and when cutting out the main element, I retained the shadow area around the scalloped edge.
I backed this main element with a white 14cm doily and behind the doily another white backing sheet cut in the same shape as the doily.
I wrapped the royal blue satin ribbon around these backing sheets securing it at the back with D.S. tape.
I made the main card from gloss white card and cut it at 30cm x 15cm and scored it and folded it before attaching the backing sheets with D.S. tape.
The second copy I used for the decoupage on the card front. I cut out the main element omitting the shadow areas, and attached it using padded D.S. tape. I then cut out the smaller elements and used tiny padded D.S. squares to attach these to the card front.
I attached the sentiment and the bow to the card front. I used the first copy of the smaller image and 2 butterflies to attach to the delicate pink garden print to complete the insert.
This is such a beautiful design and has made a delightful greeting card suitable for so many occasions and celebrations.
Thank you Ceredwyn, I love this design. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
