I have made this young female, girly style card with a bright green focus and attempted to make the main elements of the design appear to be right in front of the viewer of the scene.
To achieve this, I made 3 copies of the sheet provided, using one as the main backing sheet, one as the central grey framed section and the third one to cut out all the smaller elements of the design to attach as a decoupage.
The first backing sheet is the main sheet cut at 10.5cm square and has the edges defined using a very bright light green pen.
The next backing sheet is an 11.5cm square, textured tan, and the third backing sheet is a 12.5cm square dark green I have defined the edge of each of these, and used a glitter gold peel off strip on the green backing sheet edges.
I attached the 3 backing sheets together using padded D.S. tape, and wrapped the bright green ribbon across and secured it at the back before attaching them to the white card front.
The main frameless image I have edged with a blue/grey pen and attached to the card front using padded D.S. tape.
I then cut out all the elements and attached them one by one using padded D.S. squares and multi glue gel.
I finished the scene detail by using some glitter glue, silver and gold glitter gel glue. I attached the bow using power tape.
The insert is cup792133_79993, a design by Clare Walker, Fish, coral and starfish sea background, cut to size and I have used a bright green colour change and I have included a simple verse.
This has made into a very bright welcoming cheery birthday greeting card. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
