Gorgeous Lilac Accessories Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

This very eye-catching image which features cyclamen pink female wardrobe accessories bundled together with the mauve and purple spotty backing sheet makes a beautiful easy and quick greeting card topper suitable for almost all occasions.

I have chosen to use a step-by- step method of decoupage and printed 4 copies of the sheet provided, using 2xA4sized white satin finished 170gsm matte photo paper.

This gave me 4 of each of the images, including the 4 smaller 6cmx5.5cm images and the sentiments, which I have used as gift cards.

I used one full image as the main backing sheet for the decoupage.

I have used pale lilac satin ribbon across horizontally to attach to the front of the purple, tiny white spot backing sheet, cut at13.5cm high x 13 cm wide.

To this I have attached the main image using D.S. tape and then both of these onto the 14cm square cyclamen pink card front using D.S tape.

I have used the second and third copies of the main image to carefully remove and then retain the outer frames, including the white sections of both the frames and set this aside to use as part of making the insert.

Using the remaining section of the second section image I removed the swirled, white section while cutting around the mauve scallop, retaining the bag strap, the left shoe, the bottom edges of the next shoe and the sunglasses.

I attached this to the card front using padded D.S. tape, strips, spots and squares. I used the third copy of the sheet provided to cut around the white oval background, retaining the bag strap, shoes and sun glasses as before.

I attached these smaller elements in the same manner using D.S. tapes.

From the 4th copy I have used the shoes and the sun glasses. Before I attached these using padded D.S. tapes, I have attached the 2 skeleton leaves in matching tones behind the placement for the left shoe using red power tape.

After attaching all the elements, I have tied the small bow and attached it, using 2mm wide red power tape and the sentiment using padded D.S. tape.

I have used glitter glue on the embellishment on the shoe, 2 small flowers and glitter glue on the sun glasses.

I have made the insert by placing the 2 frames in position onto a dark mauve backing sheet.

I attached the tiny 9cm doily into the centre of the left section of the insert and used one of the smaller 6x5.5cm images to attach to the centre of the doily.

I printed this image and have this copy as the insert to avoid extra bulk and also to keep the original as an insert for future use.

I have used the smaller discarded pieces of the backing sheet to make the gift cards and made envelopes to fit.

These are so handy to keep in bundles as small gifts for friends, and are always so much appreciated. As I have left the verse section blank, I will be able to used the card for a Thank you, Special Event or celebration as well as a Birthday greeting.
