First of all, I would like to congratulate Mrs. Linda Whittles for the design that inspired me so much, bringing back so many memories of my beloved grandmother who used to have so many cards similar to the one above.
In order to create the uploaded card, I first copied the main theme twice, along with the 3rd in row assorting sentiment tag into a WORD document, making sure that the measures of the first is no more than 4,5" wide and 5" tall, and the width of the tag is approximately 3". I cut the main rectangular, and from the second print the oval center containing the girl. I distressed the edges of both and then, using some double sided adhesive tape, I made a lace border for each. I embellished the surface using brown and ivory pearls and brown pearled satin flower on the rectangular part, as well as very small Swarovski crystals on both the oval element and the sentiment tag, that I stabilized with a fluid glue pen. Using 3D foam double sided adhesive pads so as to give a little bit of dimension to the whole project, I placed the oval piece on its exact place on the rectangular main card. After all the above, I cut out a 12"x 6" brown cardstock which I folded in half, in order to make a 6" x 6" card back, on which I placed the main project a little bit on the left, leaving more space on the right of the card so as to be able to fit diagonally the sentiment tag.
It may sound a little time demanding, but the whole item took about 25 to 30 minutes to be completed.
Anyway, I enjoyed the procedure along with the result, which I think is very rewarding and, hopefully, inspiring to others.
