I have made quite a few greeting and gift cards from the sheet offered for purchase from Stephen Pore, as the theme will suit so many occasions and the design will lend itself to using it as a quick easy card or for making into a more elaborate or ornamental card.
I have printed the sheet twice onto the same sheet of A4 white satin finished 170gsm card for the main card and once onto the same card at the actual size offered.
To complete the main card, I used one main image, which measures 11cm square, from the sheet, to use as the main backing sheet.
I attached this to the 12cm white backing sheet using D.S. tape and defined the edges using a deep rose-pink permanent pen.
I attached the red glitter gold edged, 1cm wide ribbon across the centre join of the 13cm square backing sheet, which is made joining the deep rose-pink backing sheet and the black backing sheet.
I secured this ribbon at the back before attaching the backing sheet using D.S. tape to the 14cm ivory card front.
I then attached the main backing sheet.
I used the second copy of this same sized image to cut out and retain the main elements of the image including the Eiffel tower the balustrade and the complete image of the girl and the bicycle.
I have used gold peel off strips to outline the 13cm square topper before, I attached this cut out as a decoupage embellishment using padded D.S. tape.
I have attached the matching bow using red power tape.
To complete the insert, I have printed the verse I have chosen onto the right side of cream satin pearl finished 170gsm card and cut it to fit and used a smaller image supplied with the sheet to attach to the left side of the insert.
I have saved the very large image I have printed for future use but have used one of the 8.5cm square images from that sheet to make the 12cm card front complete with the topper and backing sheets, but left it blank inside to keep on hand for a quick finish.
I have used all the small images from the 2 original copies to make a further 3 gift cards, using extra embellishments to high light and frame the beautiful image.
Thank you for the inspiration, it is such a shame, I would have loved to use it for my friends, as a Bon Voyage greeting card, who had planned and had to cancel their France trip, like so many others around the globe.
