Pink and white age 40 fashion card frontCompleted by Claire Jenkins
OccasionThis originally started as a card project but i then adapted it into a light up frame in, basically, the following way. the card design was printed onto card as required then backed onto lilac card using DST. I added jewels and embellishments with my personal preference. Any decoupage elements were stuck with foam squares.
THEN, I found a box frame that wasn't being used so.... with a set of battery LED lights, I glued the strip of lights inside the main part of the frame under the backboard using good quality craft glue. To be able to access the battery pack i cut a small square hole in the frame's back board to allow the wiring to come through ( the battery pack was then glued to the edge of the frame using craft glue. The wording 'Boutique' addded myself using card and foam glitter letters, and the internal part of the backboard was covered with silver glitter card. The main card was glued to the backboard using DST. I love this frame and it hangs in my attic craft room as a reminder that a card doesn't always have to be a card it can be adapted to a personal project that means your card doesn't get stored in a drawer and forgotten.
