Take a Pretty CupcakeCompleted by Margaret Swaby

This gorgeous card looks good enough to eat. Suitable for any age from 9 to 90. I made this for my 9 year old granddaughter , knowing that she loves anything sparkly and she loves cupcakes.

I printed this out at full 8 x 8 size onto photo paper.

I stuck the backing sheet onto a pink card which I had made myself from 2 A4 sheets of card.

I built up the decoupage cupcake and butterflies etc. using silicone glue. WHen it had dried I used tiny flat backed self adhesive gems to enhance it.

FIrst I used darker pink ones all around the edge of the backing sheet to finish off the edges, then I used lighter pink ones, turquoise ones and pearls in place of the edible on the cupcake.

I finished off with a pink sparkly heart to one corner with her age on and used sparkly letters down one side to spell her name.

A delightful card that looks yummy.
