This design, is a beautiful tranquil scene. I am using this card for a very special, "Thank You", response. The design, certainly is very suitable for birthday, and many other occasions. Ceredwyn's skill in design is to be admired.
I printed the sheet supplied twice. Once, onto good quality copy paper, which I used for the main backing sheet, and once, onto 200gsm, white card to use for the decoupage.
I cut out all the elements from both sheets. I then mounted the first copy, onto a 13cm square, deep pink backing sheet, with D.S tape, and using the same tape, then, onto a light purple backing sheet, 14cm, square.
The main white card is 30cm x 15cm, and I edged this on all sides with a purple permanent pen. Before I attached the topper to the card front with padded tape, I measured up 4.5cm, and used that line to attach the mauve, organza ribbon, across the front and firmly attached it at the back of the purple backing sheet.
I then used, the 200gsm copy, of the sheet to cut away the 2 outside frames, leaving a very fine white edge, and keeping all the flowers and leaves that over hang the frames. This, I then attached to the card front, with D.S padded tape. I used tiny padded squares to attach, first of all, the lighter weight flower pieces and then, the 200gsm copies, of the same flowers. This helped give more dimension to the beautiful scene behind. I made a simple bow with the organza ribbon, which I then, attached with red power tape.
For the insert, I used a lighter shade of the purple backing sheet, and, I attached one length of paper lace, from a doily, along the right hand side, vertically, and coloured it with a deep pink, glitter pen. I used a thank you peel off , and a lotus flower peel off, which I coloured with a permanent pen.
Thank you for this beautiful design, I will be able to use it many times.
