Santas Presents Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

Santa is very jolly in this image Ceredwyn has offered for purchase with this sheet, which includes a bright star, Christmas tree, a lantern, his sack and lots of parcels.

I made the main card from textured silver 200gsm A4 card and cut and folded it to make a 14cm square card front.

To complete the topper, I have attached the main 11cm square image onto the 11.5cm square white backing sheet and the 12.5cm square blue backing sheet, using D.S. tape.

I attached all the silver decorate, peel off strips, then wrapped and secured, at the back, the silver embossed Christmas message ribbon, 6cm up from the lower edge.

I attached this to the card front using D.S. tape. I cut out the smaller elements supplied with the sheet and completed the decoupage using padded D.S. tape, the silver peel off strip around the outer edge of the blue backing sheet and the silver ribbon bow.

I set this aside while I added the insert, which has the verse, the frame and an extra small image in keeping with the theme.

I then used gold dust glitter on the lantern, mod podge dimensional magic on the berries and buckles and crystal glitter on the fur, star and trees for an added dimensional appeal.

I have made 3 small 7.5cm Christmas tags with the extra prints and still have the extra elements to use to make some more gift cards or inserts as embellishments for future cards.

Santa always such universal appeal as a Christmas greeting, I will have many opportunities to now use this design. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
