This delightfully cute Christmas image has the Christmas fun and laughter written all over it and will suit all generations as a Christmas greeting.
I have made a simple tri fold card using 2 sheets of A4 170gsm satin finished matte white photo paper to make the base card.
The A4 base card is cut to measure 15cm high, scored and folded 14cm in from both edges and then scored exactly in the centre between these 2 measurements.
With the right sides facing, the folds in from the left of the sheet are made as mountain fold, mountain fold and then valley fold.
Turn the sheet over and attach red power tape the full narrow vertical length of the left first narrow space.
This will secure the main fold. The card front is printed using a deep sky-blue card covered with a clear acetate snowflake embossed sheet, onto the 170gsm card and cut at 15high and 14cm wide.
I have then attached this using red power tape along the left vertical edge and securing it under the fold over section.
I printed the sheet provided twice onto the one 170gsm white A4 Sheet and used one of the main images to cut at 12cm wide x 11cm high, by keeping the white margin on all 4 sides, the inside sky edge, one Christmas tree and the toy teddy at the bottom front of the image.
I also carefully cut out the main image, as a complete unit, of the children, including the halo, snowman and the sled.
I used glue tape runner adhesive to attach all these elements onto the card front.
I cut a section of the snowflake embossed clear acetate at 12cm wide x 14cm high and used red power tape on the outside edges to secure it to the image.
I have added the silver peel off embellishments and red bow. I covered the fold over section with the 0.75cm strip of snowflake print and added a silver star to the top and bottom edge.
I opened the card and attached a snowflake print onto the left of the opening and a white 8cm square for my special message.
I have attached a red ribbon 5cm up from the lower edge across the back of the main image from the second copy and then attached this to the 11.75cm x11cm metallic gloss silver backing sheet.
Using padded D.S. tape, I attached this to a snowflake printed blue backing sheet, cut at 14cm high x 13.5 cm wide and wrapped and secured the ribbon tails at the back, before attaching this to the open right side of this page.
I added the silver peel off strips and threaded the 18cm length of ribbon through the left ribbon opening and tied a single knot, securing the tails using red power tape.
The second page, when opened has the blue snowflake print as the backing sheet, a silver sentiment and a peel off Christmas tree backed with cup814313_79993, Christmas lace effect, a design by Clare Walker and the back inside page has cup1076002_659, Blue Poinsettia insert 2, a most useful design by Stephen Poore, the shades in this design are perfect as a match for the completion of this card.
I have used narrow strips of the blue snowflake print to make a frame for this insert to keep the theme constant.
Thank you, Susan Gilbert, for making this beautiful image available for purchase. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
