This is a classic Christmas scene often seen in Snow globes and on Vintage style Christmas greeting cards. Here it is incorporated with a lace frame, ribbon, bells, a bauble tree and with an oval decorative frame making a feature of the Christmas house in a snow scene.
It sounds so busy and yet comes together perfectly. I printed the sheet supplied twice onto the same A4 sheet so that I would have an extra lace frame to use as part of the insert and an extra decorative oval to attach as part of the decoupage.
I have used a white gloss card front which measures 14.75x16cm to attach the green swirl background sheet, and then the gold foil, the ivory background sheets and on the top the main image all using D.S. tape.
I then added the gold peel off decorative strip before attaching the central decorative oval which has the bow, the bells and the bauble tree intact as part of the central scene.
I mounted the sentiment onto gold foil and then onto white card and used padded D.S tape to attach it.
I have used the trimmed lace frame to attach to the front of the printed verse and trimmed it to a narrow white margin and then used D.S. tape to attach it to the backing sheet cut to size and attached the extra bow and the extra bell to cover the blank spaces left from removing the images I had retained for the front of the card.
The outcome pf this project is this beautiful card have been able to make today. It is a very quick and easy project which I will cherish and be able to make many times. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
