Easter Bunny Carrying Eggs Card front with Bookmark And Gift TagCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionThank you for this very cute card front Easter design. I have used all the elements provided and have only used 2 copies of the sheet to complete 4 cards. I printed one copy onto 200gsm CB Matte white card and one onto CB Gloss 180gsm white card. The main card has the matte copy of the larger image as the main backing sheet. I attached the aqua 1.5cm wide satin ribbon across horizontally, 3cm down from the top edge onto the back of this main image and then used this main image to mount using padded D.S. tape onto a deep shade of green backing sheet which measures 13.5 x 10cm. I edged this green backing sheet with a light brown permanent pen, and I used an Easter pastel print which measures 13.75 x 11cm to attach as the next backing sheet. I made the main card from pink 180gsm card, and cut it at 22 x 15cm and scored and folded it. I wrapped the ribbon around to the back of the backing sheets and attached this group of backing sheets to the card front. To make the gloss frame around the main image, I cut away the harlequin style frame from the larger image and used tiny narrow strips of the padded D.S. tape to mount the frame in place. I then cut away the sentiment and attached it to the card front. I continued using the gloss larger image to then cut out the rabbit and the eggs together, and then the gloss elements of the three eggs. I used tiny squares and dots to attach these in the step by step method. I attached the 4 pearls and tied a simple bow and attached it as well. I used a cream and pale green harlequin style insert and used the frame from the gloss image of the smaller main element to write in Happy Easter. I then made another pink card which I cut at 22cm x 15cm and scored and folded it. I used the matte version of the smaller main image to attach a royal blue 1cm wide satin ribbon across horizontally to the back of this main image, placing it in line with the striped blue egg. I attached this main image to a pink backing sheet which measures 12 x 5cm, using D.S tape. I made the next 3 backing sheets. The yellow with the orange spots, measures 13 x 6.5cm and is plain yellow card which I coloured with an orange marker. The blue diagonal stripe is a white card which is cut at 12.5cm x 6cm, and is attached to the back of the pink and the front of the yellow backing sheets using D.S. tape. The next backing sheet is a deep plum shade, to which I have attached hot pink paper tiny egg shapes, and is cut at 13.5 x 7.5cm and is then attached to the group of backing sheets with D.S tape and the ribbon is fastened at the back, before attaching the group to the card front with D.S. tape. I coloured the peel off strips with a dark plum coloured pen and attached them to look like an extra frame around the scene. The 2 tiny gift cards, I have made so that they look different to one another, by using plain white card for one and a floral print for the other. The completed insert for the smaller image I coloured and cut out some grass and hid the extra eggs, from the sheet supplied and made a couple more to hide as well. This has made a lovely group of cards to celebrate and remember friends and family for the coming Easter.
