Teal floral frame A5 card front.

This design by Shirley Thompson is a quick and easy topper with some elements to decoupage. It has made up into a delightful bright card which will suit almost all and every occasion as a greeting.

I made a copy of the sheet onto CB white matte 120gsm card and also onto white 80gsm regular copy paper.

I used the copy paper version to mount the main element onto a white card cut at 13 x 9.25cm using D.S. tape.

I then attached this to a teal coloured floral backing sheet cut at 13.75 x 9.75cm.

I then made another white backing sheet which measures 14.5 x 11cm and used the same pen to colour the edges, before using D.S. padded tape to attach the main image and backing sheets.

I used the 120gsm copy of the main element to cut out the central image and attach it to the topper front using padded D.S. tape.

I completed the decoupage pieces, and adding the extra piece of ribbon from the 120gsm copy, before attaching the bow and the flowers using the padded tape.

I used the blank sentiment as I am unsure of the recipient at this time. The main white card is cut at23.5 x 15.5cm and then scored and folded before I attached the completed topper using regular D.S. tape.

The teal and the white together, give this card lovely clean crisp lines so does not distract from the beautiful image of the mother swan and her baby.
