I have printed the sheet provided, twice, onto the same A4 White, satin finished 170gsm photo paper and used these copies to make 2 entirely different birthday greeting cards.
To complete the card in the first image displayed, I have used cup # 8 from the set of papers by Moon Flower, cup948848_77133, named Floral Mix, to print onto both sides of the same type of photo paper.
I cut it to measure 28 x14.5cm and attached fine line gold peel off strips close to the 4 edges.
I made the topper using blue, to match the shade of the butterflies, cut at 13.5x10 as the main backing sheet, which I have edged with decorative gold peel off strips, before attaching the, 12.5x9cm, main image using D.S. tape.
I have used fine line gold strips on the outer edges and attached a gold ribbon across horizontally, 2cm up, from the lower edge and secured the tails at the back, before attaching this to the card front using padded D.S. tape.
I cut out all the smaller elements and attached these using padded D.S. tape and silicone glue. I have added the decorative gold peel off strips to the panel, the gold bow, mounted the supplied sentiment, and the gold sentiment onto gold backing and also attached the gold butterfly.
The card opens easel style to display the verse I have chosen and some smaller elements, which I have used as extra embellishments.
To complete the second card, I have used a deep green card cut at 29x12cm and attached the prepared topper using D.S. tape.
The topper has a cloud appearance finish in green and yellow shades, cut at 14x10cm as the backing sheet.
I have edged this with royal blue fine line peel off strips and attached the green ribbon horizontally across 3cm up from the lower edge before attaching the 13.5x9cm main image to the backing sheet.
I attached this topper to the card front using D.S. tape. I completed the decoupage using padded D.S. tape and silicone glue and attached the green ribbon bow.
I have used the chosen verse to print onto white copy paper and used a gold peel off sentiment and small elements from the sheet as embellishments.
Thank you for offering this delightfully cheery vision of Spring to purchase. I will be able to be use this design for so many different celebrations. Pamela Horton. The Whispering Platypus.
