Be My Valentine - Roses 8x8Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

A Beautiful deep red with a perfect heart and decoupage roses, enough to win any one's heart. I cut out all the elements in C.B's Matte photo paper, Made a white card 41.5 x 20 cm using 2 sheets of A.4 white matte card,( the join is only visible from the back after the insert is added).I used D.s tape to attach the topper to a matte black craft paper then trimmed it to 1mm width , then D.s taped this to a brighter deep red pearl finished paper and trimmed this to 2mm width. Using D.s tape I attached this to the finished card front.

I then used D.S foam square pads to attach the larger element, I used thinner foam pads to attach the left of centre rose and a thicker pad for the overlap part of the RH centre rose and a thinner pad on the other side of this rose to give a 3D effect. then used peel off bright red rhinestones on the heart the centre of each rose and the word valentine. Any more bling would have spoilt the over all effect of this beautiful design. I used a bold red heart design print for the
