Vintage (bird) Day

Printed on matte photo paper. I made a card from some stash cardstock that had a lacy vintage design on one side and a lighter background with peachy/pink roses on the inside.

So perfect!

I added a strip of avocado green paper to the bottom, then another piece of my card paper, using a punch to make a lacy border.

To the top of the card, I glued a darker green diecut border.

To make the design fit my card, I cut away the outer background layer of the base image and attached it to my card with DST, then cut out and layered the second copy of the bird card and the roses with thin foam pads.

I glued a couple of extra roses to the left, then built the decoupage of the main group with silicone.

I also added a second butterfly, with the body contacting the paper and the wings sloping slightly upward-silicone again. and a second copy of the sentiment.

Another small diecut embellishment, some hand-dyed crinkly ribbon fastened with a green jeweled brad and some tiny gems finished this wonderful vintage design.

I have roses left over too, which will be a wonderful addition to another card :-)
