Sympathy , In Times of SorrowCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I have completed this sympathy condolence card by printing the sheet provided, twice onto the same A4 white satin finished photo paper, using the main image as the focal background and the second copy to cut away the frame to retain as part of the insert and the floral spray, the cross and part of the dove as extra embellishments.

The main card is one image, the purple gingham check, from the set, Back Yard Beach Party, cup1093251_43865, pp_20320_2, designs by Belinda R Designs.

I , with which I have used a smoke blue vellum to overlay the backing image to give the softer hue to the outside of the card.

I made the topper using 2 shades of the purple mauve mix backing sheets, joining them vertically so that the paler shade measures 9cmx14cm and the darker shade, 2cm x 14cm.

The next smaller backing sheet is a deeper dark purple, which measures 13x10.5cm.

I attached the ribbon across the back of the main image 5cm down from the top edge and joined the group of backing sheets together using D.S. tape.

Before I attached this topper to the card front, I have attached the silver peel off strips and secured the tails of the ribbon at the back of the largest backing sheet.

I have used the smaller elements as decoupage by attaching them with tiny padded D.S. squares trimming as needed. I attached the outer line of silver peel off strips and added the sentiment and bow as extra embellishments.

To complete the insert, I have used the same gingham check to print onto white A4 copy paper and cut this down in size to fit inside the card to form the insert.

I attached the reserved frame onto the left of the insert and the sentiment provided onto the right side of the insert.
