I used the backing paper provided on one third of the card adn then used a chocolate brown on the rest of the card.
I covered the seam with beige ribbon (from a jumper!) and attached a bow. I then made up the topper and layered on gold paper.
I then added the sentiment layered on the brown paper, folding to make a 'butterfly' effect.
