I printed the images onto 280 gsm matt white card before cutting out. I stuck the backing paper to the front of an A5 300 gsm white card using tacky glue.

I attached the outer circle to the card front with 3mm foam pads, and added 3mm foam pads to the back of the inner circle.

I made the slider mechanism by attaching two 1pence pieces together with two 3mm foam pads stuck one on top of the other.

I fitted the mechanism and the inner circle to the card front and finally added the aeroplane using a foam pad.

I chose to remove the whole of the cut out circle because I like it to spin all the way around.

It's much more fun for kids.
