Tubby the Snowman Penny Slider.Completed by Margaret Swaby

This card was so simple to make yet is so effective. I took an A5 card blank and first stuck peel off corners along the front edge. I trimmed around the edge and then stuck the backing sheet onto this along the points of the corners. I used a craft knife to cut out the slot for the slider. I decoupaged the snowman using silicone glue but this could be done with foam pads. I took 2 coins and stuck one either side of the slot using a foam pad and then used another foam pad to attach the snowman to the coins. On this sheet there was a choice of 2 greetings banners and a blank one as well as a different shaped one. I used a Happy Christmas one at one side and then used small, silver peel off letters to make the childs name on the blank one, which I then applied to the other side of the card. I used the different shaped one on the insert.

I stuck the insert into the card and then stuck a strip of pale blue ribbon along the edge so that it shows along the bottom front edge. I know that my granddaughter will love to watch the snowman as he somersaults along the card.
