Pelican Spinner CardCompleted by Kathy Trush

This card is so much fun because it folds flat for postage but when open and standing it spins around in circles.

I printed the sheet twice on cardstock so I could fringe and decoupage the pelican with foam pads, as well as reinforce the base/stand piece.

I glued toothpicks (cocktail sticks) on each side between the pelican image and sentiment panel (glue one image upside down so when it flips it will be right side up).

I inserted the toothpick handles above foam pads glued below the fold of the stand, and I adhered the 2 connector pieces on each side at the bottom of the stand to keep it in place.

To use: open the base to stand the card and twirl a toothpick with your fingers to watch the pelican ?fly? around in circles.

So cool! This card will be loved by kids and adults.
