Cockatoo 3D Decoupage with BackgroundCompleted by Gwyneth George

I printed the sheet onto good quality, glossy, photo paper and cut out the pieces. I took a square white card and cut a piece of the background out just smaller than the card. I stuck the background to the front of the card leaving a small white border.

I then took a piece of ice white vellum and cut a piece smaller than the background. After deciding where I was going to put the topper I stuck the vellum to the background by applying glue behind where the topper and paper "birds footprints" ribbon was to go.

I stuck the paper ribbon and base image in place, attached a greetings pannel using double sided foam tape and then built up the cockatoo layers, shaping each piece by hand before sticking in place using glue gel.
