HUMMINGBIRD CARD: Easy 7x7 Hummingbird Birthday Step-by-Step/Decoupage Card Front, with 6 Sentiment Tags & Commercial Use
This humming bird step-by step card builds so that a beautiful pink and green hummingbird can appear to come flying off the front of the card.
If you're in a hurry, this design also makes a great quick card, as the hummingbird is also surrounded by lush tropical greenery, flowers and butterflies. But build the three additional decoupage layers and you'll have an even more stunning card that recipients will love, but which is fun, quick and easy to make.
The included tags also mean that you can use this light and pretty card front for a range of female occasions, and not just birthdays.
Best of all, if you want to sell any items you hand-make with this sheet, you can, whether on CUP or anywhere else. As with all my designs on CUP, you purchase the right to that small-scale commercial use automatically. Happy making!

A delightful pen and watercolour design, by Clare Walker, using bright colours, two individual frames, and a decoupage.
I printed the sheet provided, twice, and onto 200gsm white card. I cut off, the very outside frame, from copy one, and set it aside, to use later, in the insert. Using the second copy, I cut out the main element, and used it as the main backing sheet. I used a gold glitter glue pen, to high light the edges of this topper. I used the central piece from copy 1, to first, high light the edges with the same gold pen, and then to attach it, to the main topper, with padded D.S. tape. Then using, the extra element of the humming bird and the flowers, I then cut it out, and used the gold pen lightly, along the edges, and used my fingers to smudge the edges, while they, were still quite wet. Then I used tiny scissors, to cut and rough the edges of this element, so that there was less of a definition of the edges. I then attached it, in place with padded tape. I used the spare copy of this element, to carefully cut out, the humming bird including the long beak, and the deep pink coloured flowers. I attached these with tiny squares of padded D.S. tape. I made a deep rose pink backing sheet, which measures, 11.5cm square, and used a deep rose, white stitched narrow ribbon, to attach across the front of the pink backing sheet, 2.5cm up from the bottom edge. using D.S. tape, on the back and the front of the pink backing sheet to secure the ribbon. I then used, padded D.S. tape to attach the completed main elements, to this backing sheet. For the main card, I used a plain white card, the front of which measures, 12cm square. I attached the topper with the decoupage, onto the white card. I tied a simple bow, and attached it to the bottom of the branch of flowers. For the insert, I used Clare's, Pink Clematis background sheet, cup7999405_79993, and cut it to fit, 27cm x 11.5cm, and used the frame I had set aside, to matte onto a white card, then using D.S. tape attached it, to the right hand side of the insert. I made two flowers with 4 petals each, and glued them together and added a simple knot, using the same ribbon, and also a sentiment from the sheet provided. The colouring of the Clematis background sheet, I used for the insert, was a perfect match, for the deep pink colouring, in the main element on the card front, which made light work of finding a suitable insert, as I had purchased this some time ago, and have used it many times.
A Big Hug Clare, and a very big thank you, for another one of your inspiring pieces of art.
