Black Cat and Butterflies Step by Step DecoupageCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I couldn’t resist this adorable, black, white whiskered feline friend to make into a beautiful card and send to my friend who has a cat called Sooty.

I have used black for the main card and cut it at 25cm x 15cm then scored and folded it.

I have used a 14 x 11.5cm gold foil backing sheet to attach to a 13 x 10.5cm burgundy red backing sheet using D.S. tape.

I used a burgundy 1-5cm wide satin finished ribbon to attach horizontally across the front of the burgundy red backing sheet and 3cm up from the bottom edge of the gold foil backing sheet and wrapped it around to the back and secured it with magic tape.

On a 120gsm white A4 sized card I have made 2 copies of the sheet supplied and used one of these copies as the main backing sheet.

I used a metallic green pen to define the 4 edges of the main image. I then used D.S. tape to attach it to the 2 prepared backing sheets and then onto the black card front using D.S. tape.

I attached the gold line style peel off strip onto the burgundy red backing sheet, and also some decorative gold corners, I used the second copy of the main image to cut out the main lace framed image keeping the butterflies intact, and attached this to the card front using padded D.S. squares before completing the step by step beautiful black cat image, which I also attached using padded D.S. squares.

I made a bow with the same ribbon and attached it onto the left hand side using red power tape.

I made the sentiment using gold peel off letters, and used Gold Glitter dust on the swirly red, orange and yellow background to give the whole Image more high lights and dimension.

The insert is white copy paper cut to size with a verse I have written and is now on the free list under Thinking of you in the female section and added another image of the cat.

This is a very striking eye catching design and I am delighted with the outcome I have achieved with such little time and effort.
