Butterfly Patchwork - See-through Card Front and Decoupage
An unusual card with a cut away front image which allows the coloured background to show through from behind. The butterfly looks great if you add some jewels to his wings and some curly wire antennae!
Can be used for men if you hold back on the jewels!! Instructions are on the sheet. Fits a 7x5" card, though size can be changed on your printer.

I scored and folded an A4 sheet of cream cardstock. The images were cut out and decoupaged on to the base sheet. I used this to indicate where the aperture should be cut in the base card - marking with a pencil first.
When the image was fixed to the front of the card, I then glued the rectangular backing paper on the inside to create an interesting backdrop behind the aperture.
To finish I used glitter around the aperture, and gold peeloffs framing the image.
