Romantic Roses 4Completed by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus

I love this design and as I haven’t used any of Deborah’s designs before, I was able to use the site to order 2 more designs to purchase for my next set of uploads.

This Romantic Roses 4 sheet I copied twice onto the same A4 sheet of white satin finished 170gsm, photo paper and used one copy as the main backing sheet.

I attached it to a white 11.25cm square backing sheet, the edges of which I have defined with a gold metallic pen.

I used the gold ribbon to attach, 5cm down from the top edge horizontally, securing the tails at the back.

I used D.S. tape to attach this topper to the 12cm square, gold metallic pen edged ivory backing sheet and onto the 13cm square deep red quilted finished card front.

This itself made a beautifully finished quick card without extra decoupage. I used the second copy from the sheet to cut out red framed section and the ornate corners. I attached these elements using padded D.S. tape.

I then used the extra flower elements to build up the decoupage using silicone glue. I finished the embellishments on the card front, adding the gold ribbon bow and the red backed sentiment.

To complete the insert, I have used an ivory, pearl finished sheet to attach the verse I have chosen and the roses from the second copy of the sheet, leaving a space for my special message.

Thank you for the extra sentiment labels, as the versatility of this design makes it so useful for both, Birthday and Mothers’ Day and even Thank You and Sympathy with the appropriate verse change.
