Sometimes the simplest patterns are the most fun to work with and that’s what happened here. I started by printing out the pattern pieces onto a good white cover paper and then I cut out the pattern pieces.

I used a scrapbook page that had a woodsy cabin theme.

I cut the wood paneling scrapbook page to fit an 8 x 8” square card and attached it to the card with fabric glue.

The main birthday pattern was added next with glue. On the inside I used that same wood pattern on the right hand side insert. I added a blue water pattern and formed a door and cut out logs from scrapbook page and they were all put together on the insert.

The left side and insert was made into pockets and I put together some miniature paper pads made for a group to sign to the happy birthday boy or man.
