A beautiful festive christmas card with a pair of lovely cardinal birds on a branch of holly and poinsettia, with a matching frame and beige tiled background.

I printed on to bright white 110lb card stock, cut out the images.
I did not want the white to show against the colored stock so I went around the cut edges with a watercolor marker, a dark red around the birds and red leaves and a dark green around the green leaves.
I then mounted the framed portion on an ivory pearlescent card and made the easel from red pearlescent card.
I wanted some contrast, and to cover up that the card was only pearlescent on one side so added a green pearlescent sheet and used a poinsettia die-cut to act as a stop and added a message.
