I have made this beautiful fireplace scene decoupage to fit onto a 12cm square card, as I want it to be post office preferred size for posting.
I made a double card.
The smaller card is a Christmas rose red background cut at 22 x10cm then scored and folded before I attached it to the main larger dark blue card which is cut at 24 x 12cm then scored and folded.
I attached the first layer of the decoupage using padded D.S. tape and then the next 2 layers using thick white glue.
I cut a snowflake printed clear acetate sheet cut at 9.5cm x 9cm and attached it using vellum roller tape to the front of the card.
I am placing a pre-paid gift card inside the first red card and my greeting and verse inside the dark blue card.
I would like to make this card in a larger size next time as I do like cutting out detail and this size was a little small to be able to do that.
I love the design and will use it again. Pamela Horton. The whispering Platypus.
