A Most unusual design by Angela Wake, with many elements to choose from. This card makes into a most impressive card. It takes a little extra time, but for those of us that like to follow pyramid, and step by step methods, I have to say a perfect choice. I printed the sheet twice and used the first main art work as part of the backing sheet and mounted it onto a black card the same size, 10.5cm square. To highlight the ribbon in the cross effect, I added another ribbon, in the same shade of very pale blue, across both the horizontal and vertical as in the design. Using the second copy, I cut away the complete frame, by carefully starting in the right hand corner. I attached this using the narrow red power tape, to the front of the topper. I made up the rest of the card before adding any of the elements. The silver backing sheet is 11cm square, and to the front of this, I attached another length of the same blue satin ribbon, horizontally, and attached it at the back before using padded tape to attach the topper. The next backing sheet,11.75cm square, is the same green as the top ribbon, and also attached with padded tape.
The black main card is cut at 12.5 cm square, and to this, using padded tape, I attached the work I had completed at this point.
I then cut out one set of elements and attached them in place, including the sentiment, with tiny padded dots and squares as needed. For the insert, I used the backing sheet purchased from Craftsuprint Cup814313_79993 Christmas Lace Effect. I then used the, inside the frame, section left over from the second main art work copy, on the inside left hand side, and the green bow that was left over, on the right hand side. I have left the verse space blank at this stage. This insert worked so well as the delicate light blue lace effect, is easily visible when written on, considering the card itself is black.
Thank you for this delightful design
