Easter Blessings Quick CardCompleted by Pamela Horton The whispering Platypus
OccasionI was looking for a large image of an Easter greeting card to send to my very elderly Uncle who is legally blind and has a little peripheral vision, and this design by Maria Christina Vieira will be perfect for the purpose, and well in advance, so thank you for the design.
I love step by step designs and the steps for this card front are so clear and easy to follow and very easy to assemble.
I printed the sheet onto light card and used a simple pastel dot stripe background for the main card which I cut at 30x19cm, then scored and folded it before attaching the main image, with the ivory satin ribbon attached vertically though the path of the flowers using D.S. tape to this card front.
I completed the steps for the decoupage using small padded D.S squares cut to size to place in the centre of each piece and curling the petal edges under and using small dots of clear multi glue gel, allowing the gel to become sticky before attaching the petals in place.
I used gold peel off strips around the 4 sides of the background section and attached the simple bow to the lower part of the vertical ribbon.
I have added some peel of gold crosses to the corners. To complete the insert, I have used the same pastel print and added some crosses and the sentiment, leaving space for me to write my personal message.
I am most pleased with this delightful finish for a most suitable greeting card. Pamela Horton. The whispering Platypus.
