You Are a Winner! 3Completed by Darlene Handorff
OccasionI did have fun with this pattern. I printed on glossy photo paper and cut out the pattern pieces. I had slightly reduced the pattern so the main photo was 5 1/4 in across.
I used a dark charcoal card stock that I had cut to 5 1/2in across and 8 1/2 in high to mount the main piece, then layered the decoupages of the car with foam mounts.
On the last decoupage piece of the red car I used a small strip of paper folded into accordian and mounted that piece to the car front letting the last piece have movement as if the car was shaking.
For the back I used a full sheet of dark grey card stock. In the center of that piece I measured out 1 inch and scored on each side of the 1 inch a Mountain fold.
I attached the card front to that middle section only with glue.
I then marked and scored the back card stock on each side of the attached card front making a valley fold so each side would be like wings able to fold over the front.
I used flames I had printed from the internet which I measured and cut and attached to each side of the card.
I also had to put "feet" on the card to stop it from tipping over. Pretty mean looking right?
