Embellished watercolour painting with step by step pieces and sentiments.

Having been born in country Victoria amongst English style homes and gardens, this image from Fran Dent certainly awakens child hood memories.
If like me and you really enjoy step by step and fine cutting to complete a decoupage, this is a definite choice for you.
I printed the sheet provided at 14.7 x 19.78cm onto CB white matte 120gsm card and once onto white 80gsm copy paper at the same size.
I used the copy paper version to mount onto white 120gsm white card cut at 12.75x13.75cm, using D.S. tape. I used a silver edged 2.5cm wide satin and organza ribbon to attach horizontally to the back of the backing sheet 3.5cm down from the top edge.
I used padded D.S tape to attach the dark blue backing sheet which measures 13.5cm x 13.5cm and then regular D.S. tape to attach this to a deep rose pink backing sheet which measures 14.5cm square.
I used a silver glitter pen and ruler to edge the pink backing sheet and then attached the peel off strings of tiny coloured gems to the very outside edge of the white backing sheet before attaching the ribbon tails round to the back of the pink backing sheet.
I made the main card from a deep cream coloured 180gsm card, cut at 30x 15cm and scored and folded it before attaching the completed topper.
I then used the white matte 120gsm card to cut away the outer frame from the main central image, keeping intact any overhanging flowers.
I used padded D.S. tape to attach this to the card front.
I then cut out all the smaller elements from this sheet and using the step by step method and very thin D.S. tape and some thick white glue, attached all the tiny pieces in place.
I also had saved the tiny butterfly to attach as well. I made a rabbit ears simple bow and attached it using red power tape.
For the insert sheet I used a cream marbled finished paper cut at 29cm x 14.5cm and used all the left over copy paper elements to embellish the insert.
I drew a tiny black cat to tie the theme together, and used one of the tiny sentiments. This has made an absolutely beautiful card and I am truly delighted with the result. I will use this many times over, as it covers every celebration and occasion, even remember this.
