I thought the stitched butterflies would work very well with a waterfall card. I pricked 4 butterflies onto white card leaving room to cut them into squares.

I also reversed the butterfly for two of the pricked images as I wanted the butterfly to change how it was flying when the waterfall was pulled.

Each butterfly was stitched using a different colour of a shimmering pearl like thread (colours used: orange, pink, purple and blue).

I then mounted each butterfly onto matching card, made a waterfall mechanism using pink card and attached the butterflies.

A piece of bright paper was mounted onto a pink card and the completed waterfall attached with brads / split pins.

This was finally mounted onto a pearl ivory card blank. The card was finished by adding gold peel off lines around the butterfly squares, dashed lines using a black pen to indicate flight of the butterflies, flower gems and a ribbon pull.
