Thank you Emy, for this beautiful, floral border design.
I pricked this design onto a textured, white card front, 12.5 x 10.5cm and followed the instructions written on the sheet.
The thread I used for the leaves, is a deep leaf green polyester thread. I completed the stitching for these first.
The thread I used for the centre of the flowers and the frame on the right hand side is a very pale pink polyester thread. I stitched both of these next.
I was unable to find the rice beads in the pink theme I wanted to achieve, so I used my permanent pens to colour those beads. I allowed them to dry, while I completed the stitching first.
The beads I used were as follows: 24 silver rice beads, each 6mm in size, 5 clear, translucent rice beads, each 8mm in size. All these rice beads I had coloured with the pen.
I then used, 5 pink translucent round beads, each 4mm in size, and 8 deep pink, translucent round beads, each 4mm in size.
Once all this was completed I edged the white card with a permanent pink pen and attached a backing sheet with double sided tape.
This backing sheet is one designed by Clare Walker, Pink Clematis floral Background sheet, cup799405_7993. I had copied this onto white good quality card at the full size from the sheet provided, and cut it at 14.5 x 12.5 cm.
I used some light weight deep pink card, 12.5 cm long, and 3cm wide to fold into 3 length ways. Into this, using double sided tape, I attached a 12.5 cm long, and 1.5 cm wide, strip of this same floral backing sheet, allowing 1 cm to be exposed.
This made the strip I added to the left hand side of the card, a total of 2 cm wide and the same height as the completed white stitched and beaded card front. I used double sided tape to attach this to the card front, quite close, to the tips of left hand leaf. I
finished all the other additions to the card front, before using padded tape to attach it to the deep plum coloured card.
I cut out one of the clematis flowers to attach to the top left hand corner, and also added some pink, glitter hearts. I made 3 hearts, one, using the deep pink card, one, using the clematis print and then a smaller white heart, to which I attached the sentiment. I atcched the three together with padded tape and then onto the card with padded tape.
I tied a small bow with deep pink white stitched, ribbon, and then attached this finished topper to the main plum card, which measures, 26 x 15.5 cm.
I then used the same clematis background sheet to print onto good quality photo copy paper for the insert.
I cut two rectangles,12.5 x 11.5 cm, and used double sided tape to attach them inside the plum coloured card.
I coloured silver peel-off strips, with a dark pink permanent pen and added them to all edges of the background sheet. I also added some tiny clematis flowers, a clematis sentiment, and some tiny pink glitter hearts
A complete picture of femine, delicate, care and love is what I wanted to achieve.
Thank you Emy a beautiful design so easy to work with and come together, for a beautiful finish.
A hug for you
